He found that the policy had been cancelled in August 2016 after Margaret forgot to pay her annual bill.<br>

Mr Aberton tried to rectify what had happened and offered to pay what his mother was owing but he was told that wasn't possible.<br>

'In all honesty if mum was of full capability and mind she would be angry - as anyone would be,' he told A Current Affair. <br>
