Van Gaal's touchline dive sparks laughter at Old Trafford

"It happens not too much. Normally I am sitting on my bench and I have a lot of criticism because I am sitting on my bench."<br> <br> <br> <br> Van Gaal said he apologized to the officials for his actions.<br> <br> "I have to control my emotions," Van Gaal said, adding: "I cannot do that. It is not good for the authority of the referee."<br> <br> Van Gaal has a history for touchline antics. In the 1995 Champions League final when in charge of Ajax against AC Milan, he performed a karate kick on the touchline to highlight the referee's failure to award a foul for a high tackle on Jari Litmanen.<br> <br> On Sunday, United fans cheered Van Gaal back to his seat after the touchline incident.
